“Instilling life skills, role models and integrity in the golfers of tomorrow” Looking for opportunities to introduce your child to the game of golf? You don't have to look much further than the PGA of BC, an organization that has been committed to the development of golf at the grass roots level since 1934.
The Professional Golfers’ Association of BC has made junior golf a key Association priority and intends to continue to be the leader in junior golf development in British Columbia. Whether your child is trying to break 90 or going for a college scholarship, the PGA of BC and its Member Professionals can help get them there.
CLUBS FOR KIDS
The PGA of BC's very successful Clubs For Kids program, which through the help of the Accusport Canada has now donated more than 10,000 complimentary golf clubs to juniors, is a must attend event for beginner golfers. Clubs for Kids takes place annually at the Vancouver Golf & Travel Show which takes place each February at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver.
Over 1000 young boys and girls annually attend Clubs for Kids and receive a complimentary golf club. Junior golfers arrive on-site, are given a complimentary, appropriately sized golf club and then receive golf instruction by a PGA of BC professional.
The goal of this program is to provide a golf club to thousands of children, allowing them the opportunity to further participate in the game of golf. If they enjoy it, PGA of BC members will be able to further introduce these children to the game through other junior golf programs.
