More than 20 PGA of BC members participated in an enlightening Education Series event at the Victoria Golf Club today.

Moderator Bill Kelly introduced discussions by Olympic View Golf Club's Jeff Palmer, who drew on his experiences as former Director of Golf at Sheshan International Golf Club to provide perspective on working in the golf industry abroad. Jeff's experience as a leader at one of China's premier golf clubs has given him a deep understanding of cultural differences between North America and China, and the challenges inherent in delivering a great guest experience in foreign surroundings; Crown Isle Resort and Golf Community's Robert Ratcliffe, seen in the accompanying photo, who presented his view of Long-Term Coaching in North America, drawing from his experiences developing players at grassroots, regional, and national levels; and Jeremy Estey, founder of www.vigolf.ca who drawing from his experiences in the media, spoke to how PGA of British Columbia members can communicate better messages and build partnerships with media outlets.

The great staff at the Victoria Golf Club also presented a pizza buffet lunch for all participants.

The next Education Series event is March 3 at The Harvest Golf Club in Kelowna.
