RICHMOND, BC (PGA of British Columbia) – The PGA of BC is proud to introduce TD Bank Group ("TD") as the Association’s newest and most prolific partner.

As the Association’s only Platinum-level Preferred Partner, TD will also be the exclusive presenting sponsor of the PGA of BC’s Canucks Junior Golf Week program.

“We're thrilled to partner with the PGA of BC and to support the upcoming Canucks Junior Golf Week program” said Julie Armour, TD Region Head Branch Banking in the Pacific Region. “At TD, we believe that sports provide important opportunities for people to participate and feel included in their community. And when people are engaged in their community, then good things tend to happen. That's why we're keen to support initiatives that bring diverse people together for a shared experience. With the strong surge of people taking up golf throughout the pandemic, the PGA of BC is helping youth develop their skills and build important connections with others."

Developed in partnership with the Vancouver Canucks and BC Hockey, Canucks Junior Golf Week has introduced thousands of British Columbia youth to golf since its inception in 2014. Allowing children aged 5 and up to learn the sport’s fundamentals through certified instruction from PGA of BC Professionals, the program has demonstrated an ideal learning environment for new golfers exploring the game.

Following a two-year pause due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, dozens of single-day camps will once again be held in communities across the province during the 2022 campaign, scheduled to run July 11-18. At only $20 per camp, the program caters to beginner and novice golfers – approximately half of all children who have passed through the program had no prior golf experience. Additionally, equipment is provided for participants who do not have clubs of their own. Junior golfers attending a session will also take home a gift branded with the Canucks logo.

Participant registration will open in early June, but parents can learn more about this great grow-the-game initiative and pre-register now at www.pgabc.org/golfweek.

“Our newly developed relationship with TD will ensure that boys and girls throughout all parts of British Columbia will be able to take part in memorable golf experiences, most of which will be for the first time” said Donald Miyazaki, Executive Director of the PGA of BC. “TD’s strong connection with not only the Vancouver Canucks, but also within communities across British Columbia makes this partnership an excellent fit for our widest-ranging golf initiative for youth.”
