Apprentice Professional Doug Titterington has been introduced as the PGA of BC's new Membership & Events Manager.

JANUARY 22, 2020

RICHMOND, BC (PGA of British Columbia) – The PGA of BC administration team is pleased to introduce Apprentice Professional Doug Titterington as the Association’s new Membership & Events Manager.

The 28-year-old comes to the administration team from Northview Golf & Country Club, where he has spent the past three years as an instructor and pro-shop supervisor on the Surrey facility’s Professional staff. Titterington already had many years’ experience in British Columbia’s golf industry prior to joining the PGA of Canada in 2017. He is a 2019 graduate of the Professional Golf Management program at Ontario’s Humber College.

Titterington will assume the role as of Jan. 27.

“Doug is an excellent fit for this position and we are excited to welcome him as Membership & Events Manager,” said PGA of BC Executive Director Donald Miyazaki. “His well-rounded industry experience, education and familiarity with the PGA of BC are all assets to our administration team and our Association as a whole.

“We are focused on providing tremendous service and key resources to our Professionals and prospective members. Doug’s presence in our office will only further our ability to achieve those goals.”

Prior to his tenure at Northview and joining the PGA of Canada, Titterington spent several years working in pro shops at Pitt Meadows Golf Club and Eaglequest Golf Centre at Coquitlam. Through these positions, Titterington has played key roles in the execution of tournaments, events and other club operations.

As an Association member working towards his Class “A” status, Titterington’s first-hand knowledge of the PGA of Canada Training Academy will also be a valuable asset in assisting and providing support to fellow Apprentice Professionals.

“I am excited for this new opportunity to work with the PGA of BC administration team and engage with my fellow Association members,” said Titterington. “I look forward to helping guide members in reaching their professional goals and enhancing event operations.”
