Herb Paterson had a remarkable 48-year career as a pioneer golf equipment service provider in the Canadian Golf industry. He brought to Canada, and was the exclusive distributor for, Titleist products through Jim Morrison Ltd. He was later appointed an Honourary Life Member of the PGA of Canada, and was the first recipient of the PGA of BC's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001. Paterson was also extensively involved in the development of Predator Ridge Resort and facilities elsewhere in Canada.
The Herb Paterson Sales Representative of the Year recognizes an outstanding golf industry sales representative, who has demonstrated partnership with PGA of BC member professionals and facilities.
