PDP POINTS AVAILABLE
Two-person teams must consist of PGA of BC members who are not otherwise eligible to participate in the G&G Golf Company & Callaway Golf PGA of BC Pro-Assistant Championship. Members that are in a position to form an eligible team for the Pro-Assistant will not be considered for the Team Championship.
Examples of permissible teams could include:
- Members affiliated at two different facilities
- Unaffiliated and Life Members
- Members whose facility does not have a recognized Club Professional (Head, Executive or Head Teaching Professional) on staff
- Members whose facility has already entered a team in the Pro-Assistant but is not able to field another
The composition of all teams is subject to the approval of the Captain's Committee. To inquire about the eligibility of a team's composition, please contact Executive Director Donald Miyazaki at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Team Championship is a 36-hole competition.
Round 1 will be a Best Ball format. Each member of each team plays their own ball on every hole. At the completion of the hole, the lowest score among team members serves as the team score.
Round 2 will be a Scramble format. Both players hit tee shots, pick the best shot, and then both players hit again-continuing this process until the ball is holed out.
Scorecards should be returned to the PGA of BC immediately after completion of play. In the event of a tie, multiple will be declared as winners and no playoff will be conducted.
DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES
The use of electronic distance measuring devices is permitted in PGA of BC events. Those devices capable of measuring distance ONLY will be permitted. Devices capable of measuring other factors, such as elevation change, are NOT permitted.
