To apply for the 2008 Playing Ability Test you must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma and be working under a CPGA Head Professional.
Please note that the 1st deadline for application is June 1, 2008. By that date candidates must submit their resume, a $25 payment and a memorandum signed by their CPGA head Professional confirming their employment for the 2008 season.
Full application packages are mailed out AFTER June 1, 2008, to those who have met the June 1st deadline requirements.
A mandatory orientation/interview must be attended before the Playing Ability Test (traditionally scheduled for the 2nd week of July).
The second and final deadline date is July 31, 2008. By that date the fully completed application package and associated fees must be received by the PGA of BC office. DEADLINES ARE ABSOLUTE - NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
Candidates need to meet the required score over 36 holes (based on the course rating + 15 formula)...18 holes on day one and 18 holes on day two. There is an optional retry scheduled for day three - 36 holes. Costs for the PAT and associated dues/insurance will be determined by the Board of Directors for 2008/2009.
