*NEW CLINIC FOR 2008

LEARN HOW TO BE A STRONG TOURNAMENT PLAYER
June 4th
9 AM - 11 AM
Westwood Plateau Golf & CC Clubhouse

The PGA of BC understands that not all of our Associates/Assistants play competitive golf on a regular basis. This is why for the first time we will be holding a Champions Clinic prior to this year's Assistants' Championship.

This clinic will focus on how to become a stronger tournament player and will be run by Doug Morgan and Mike Vanderwolf. This clinic will take place on June 4th from 9 AM - 11 AM in the Westwood Plateau Golf & CC Clubhouse.

NOTE: All Apprentices attending the clinic will receive 2 seminar hour credits.

Doug Morgan is a past PGA of BC Assistants' Champion (1995) and has won the Vancouver Island Assistants' Championship seven times (1991-1993 and 1995-1998). Doug also received an exemption to the PGA TOUR's inaugural Greater Vancouver Open in 1996 and earned Medalist honours at the 1992 US Open Local Qualifier in Tacoma, WA. Doug is currently the Head Professional at the Redwoods Golf Course.

Mike Vanderwolf is recognized as a leader among teachers in Canadian Golf. In 2000 Mike was named PGA of BC Teacher of the Year and is a Facilitor of the Canadian PGA's Teaching and Coaching Certification Program. He, along with Doug Morgan, serves as Coordinator for the PGA of BC Learning Centre, held annually at the Vancouver Golf and Travel Show. Mike has also been instrumental in the development of many local Professional talents, such as 2003 BC Junior Champion Ryan Lidke and past PGA of BC Champion and Assistants' Champion Bryn Parry, among others. Mike is currently the Director of Instruction at the McCleery Golf Academy.
