CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT & SCORING
The format for the Pro-Junior Championship is an 18-hole, 2-net best ball competition. Professionals should return their team scorecard with gross scores for all participants. Scorecards should be returned to the PGA of BC immediately after completion of play. Professionals will be playing for team and individual purses. Junior participants will compete for team prizes.

Tournament draw will be finalized by Friday, July 24th and will be posted in the Tournaments & Events section of pgabc.org

All signed release forms must be submitted
8:00 am - 28 Team Shotgun Start
1:00 pm - Lunch & Awards Presentation
REGISTRATION - Monday, July 27th 7:00am–7:45am
Please register your team upon arrival outside the clubhouse. Be prepared to update the handicap factors of your team members. You must submit all release forms at this time to be eligible for play. As in previous years, all professionals must have the parents of the junior team members sign a parent/guardian release form. Please have these forms signed and ready for collection at the registration table on the morning of Monday, July 27, 2009.
Each professional is responsible for the actions of his/her team and should be aware of the whereabouts of their team members at all times.
PRACTICE ROUNDS
The practice rounds for the tournament will take place on Sunday, July 26th beginning at 11:00 am. The cost is included in the entry fee. Please book your round by calling the Vernon Golf & CC Golf Shop.
LUNCH & AWARDS
A lunch will be served immediately following play on Monday. Please note that the PGA of British Columbia dress code GOLF CASUAL (Shorts OK) will be in effect for this post-tournament function. Immediately following lunch, the awards presentation will take place. The day should be complete by approximately 2:30 pm.
Golf Causal = golf slacks, collared golf shirt and dress shoes(Shorts & teaching shoes acceptable).
PACE OF PLAY
The PGA of BC and Vernon Golf & CC anticipate the round will take a maximum of four and ½ hours. Please do your best to educate your team on the importance of playing the round at a reasonable pace although all participants are to play without power carts.
PROFESSIONALS
Professionals will be playing for a professional purse valued at $2,500.00 along with skins. Please return the scorecard with gross scores only for all team members.
There is a skins game for the professionals in the Pro-Junior Championship. The cost is $20 and professionals must pre-register – skins will not be available on-site. If you have not already done so and wish to be entered in the skins game, please call the PGA of BC office to register.
TEAM UNIFORMS
The tradition at this tournament is for the team members to dress in matching uniforms. Please make every effort to continue this tradition. As an incentive, there is a contest for the best-dressed team.

SUNDAY NIGHT - ATLANTIS WATERSLIDES
Join the party Sunday night at Atlantis Waterslides. From 7pm - 10 pm the waterslide park will be reserved for the PGA of BC. Located 5 km north of Vernon this popular waterslide park provides hours of sun and water fun for all ages! Atlantis has 10 slides for all ages, including the ever popular tube ride, the River Riot. Along with a hot tub, mini-golf, arcade, gift shop, and concession stand. All guests will receive a coupon for food upon arrival and have the run of the waterslides for the night!
