CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT AND SCORING
The scoring format for the PGA of BC Assistants’ Championship is a 36-hole stroke play competition. Competitors will be teeing off the Chilliwack G & CC white tee markers. Scorecards should be returned to the PGA of BC scoring table immediately after completion of play.
DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES
The use of electronic distance measuring devices is permitted in PGA of BC events. Those devices capable of measuring distance ONLY will be permitted. Devices capable of measuring other factors, such as elevation change, are NOT permitted.
ITINERARY
Monday, June 7th – Round One
6:30 am Practice Facility opens
6:30 am Registration opens
9:30 am Tee times begin off the 1st tee
After golf -- Burger & Beer in the Clubhouse
All competitors are required to register with the PGA of British Columbia at least 30 minutes prior to your start time.
Tuesday, June 8th – Round Two
6:30 am Practice Facility opens
9:30 am Tee times begin off the 1st tee based on Round 1 scores
After golf -- Burger & Beer in the Clubhouse
At conclusion of tournament there will be an awards presentation in the clubhouse. We ask that all participants please make every effort to attend the presentation. PGA of BC dress code GOLF CASUAL will be in effect for all post-golf gatherings. Golf Casual – golf slacks, collared golf shirt and dress shoes (teaching shoes acceptable)
TOURNAMENT DRAW
A final draw will be prepared by Friday, June 4th and posted in the Tournament Section at www.pgabc.org. You may also obtain your starting time by contacting the PGA of BC office on Friday at 604.303.6766 or the Chilliwack Golf Club pro shop at 604.823.6521. Please make sure you confirm your starting time prior to arriving at the course on Monday.
PRACTICE ROUNDS:
Practice rounds are available by calling Keith Jackson at 604.823.6521 at least two weeks prior to the event. Rates TBD. Local participants are strongly encouraged to play their practice round at least 2-3 weeks prior to the Championship.
REGISTRATION & SCORING STATION
Upon arrival please proceed to registration. Note: if you wish to purchase extra lunch tickets they will be available for sale at the registration desk.
Immediately after play please remember to proceed to the designated scoring area and submit your scorecard.
POWER CARTS
The use of power carts is NOT PERMITTED at the Women’s Championship.
CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS
Following second round play on Tuesday an awards reception and presentation will be held in the Chilliwack Golf Club clubhouse. Prize cheques will be issued to all winners at the event. Please make every effort to stay until the awards presentation has concluded.
