PGA of BC Lifetime Achievement Award

The PGA of BC Lifetime Achievement Award honours individuals who have made outstanding contributions to our Association and the game over an extended career. It is presented only when a candidate truly stands apart, which is why just nine people have received it in the history of the PGA of BC. Each recipient has left a mark on the members, facilities and communities that make BC golf what it is today.

Lifetime Achievement Award recipients: 

2016 - Jack Westover

Jack Westover, a golf teacher at the Langley Golf Centre, is a previous winner of the British Columbia Professional Golf Association (BCPGA) Teacher of the Year award, an honour he considered one of his proudest given his more than 40 years in the profession. A teaching pro since 1959, Westover has coached students to six junior Canadian championships, 13 B.C. amateur championships, and four Canadian amateur championships, with a roster that has included former professional Jennifer Wyatt and PGA Tour player Richard Zokol. In 2016, he was besyowed a lifetime achievement award to a career built on developing golfers at every level of the game.
