June 19, 2026

Pitt Meadows, BC (PGA of BC) -

The Competitions

The Seniors' Championship presented by Honma Golf and Wolfe Jack Supply Co. is a 36-hole, individual stroke-play championship. Previously, the Association awarded a bonus to the top-placing player aged 50 years or greater in the PGA of BC Championship, but a standalone tournament was created in 1995.

The winner has their name etched on the Ben Colk Trophy, named in memory of the former Langara Golf Course Head Professional, who was known not only as an excellent player and instructor, but also for introducing the pull cart to golf in British Columbia.

Greg Pidlaski's four titles in the event are the most all-time by one player. Phil Jonas and defending champion Doug Morgan have three titles each, with Morgan competing next week.

The Women's Championship presented by Honma Golf and Wolfe Jack Supply Co. has been contested mostly as a 36-hole stroke-play event over the years since its 1994 debut, with some championships determined by Stableford scoring over 36 holes.

Jennifer Wyatt's six titles are the most all-time by one player in the event. Multi-title champions Ashley Zibrik (2012, 2018, 2022) and Christine Wong (2020, 2023) are competing in the 2026 championship.

Wes Doka, Head Professional, Pitt Meadows Golf Club:

"We're thrilled to be hosting both championships. Our members and staff have been looking forward to this opportunity, and there's a real sense of pride in being able to welcome some of the province's top players to Pitt Meadows. The golf course is in outstanding condition, and with the recent clubhouse renovations, we feel the entire facility is ready to showcase itself at its very best. It's a great opportunity for us to highlight our club, our membership, and the hospitality that makes Pitt Meadows such a special place."

The Course

Pitt Meadows Golf Club is set against the stunning backdrop of the Golden Ears mountains in the Fraser Valley. The course offers a scenic and challenging layout, providing an excellent venue for two of the PGA of BC's premier championships.

The club is a classic, tree-lined parkland test that rewards smart positioning, steady ball-striking and patience.

Wes Doka, Head Professional, Pitt Meadows Golf Club:

"Our greens are relatively small, so distance control and accuracy with irons will be important throughout the championship. The course rewards players who are strategic off the tee and precise with their approach shots. Success at Pitt Meadows will come down to putting the ball in the right spots and taking advantage of scoring opportunities when they present themselves."

"Life is changing as I near my twilight years. I've been low Grandpa every tournament since November 2022, Riley is 3.6 years and just got her first set of US Kids Clubs. I'm hoping to play lots of golf with her and my son-in-law.

I've been playing against Kendal Yonomoto since we were 14-15 years old in 1980; worked with Dean Claggett at Gorge Vale 1992; took several putting lessons with Scott Rodgers from Morgan Creek. It's great to have an event to catch up with guys you don't see on a regular basis, get the competitive juice flowing again and test my game.

Look out for Matt Daniel next week, a new Member of the "CLUB."

Jaya Rampuri, GreenTee Golf Academy:

"Looking back on last year’s win, what I remember most is how present I was throughout the tournament. I was really focused on the shot right in front of me. There were definitely moments where I needed to reset mentally, but I was able to do it much quicker than I had in previous events.

A turning point for me was the 18th hole in the first round. I remember thinking that if I wanted to put myself in a good position for the next day, I needed to do something special. While I stayed focused on the moment, I was also aware of the opportunity in front of me. Making eagle on that hole was incredibly rewarding and gave me a lot of momentum. It’s still one of the most memorable feelings I’ve had in a tournament.”
