RECAP: 2025 Jack McLaughlin Memorial Pro-Junior Championship Series presented by Sundog Eyewear, Blue Tees Golf and adidas Golf Canada

Richmond, BC (PGA of BC) - The PGA of BC Jack McLaughlin Memorial Pro-Junior Championship Series presented by Sundog Eyewear, Blue Tees Golf and adidas Golf Canada saw junior golfers from across the province compete in four regional events held in unique locations. Teams made up of a PGA of BC Professional and three junior golfers took on Michaelbrook Golf Course, Fort Langley Golf Course, Cedar Hill Golf Course and Windermere Valley Golf Course throughout the month of July. These teams competed in a 2-Net Best Ball format, where competing juniors demonstrated their high levels of play, sportsmanship and love of the game.

The first stop of the Series took place at Michaelbrook Golf Course in Kelowna on July 15, which saw seven teams compete.

Congratulations to Shadow Ridge Golf Club's Mark Kitts, Asher Arychuk, Henry Sutherland and Luke Haas for their victory at the event, winning by four strokes with a Net score of 19-under. Guided by professional Kitts, the team of up-and-coming juniors excelled on their way to the Interior Pro-Junior title.

Finishing as runner-up in the event at 15-under was the team from Okanagan Golf Club: Conner Kozak, Autumn Lapp, Tierra Elchuk and Velvet Haynes. On the par-3 7th, playing as the team’s first hole in the shotgun start, Lapp’s first swing of the day ended up in the hole for an ace! Congratulations to Autumn on her memorable achievement.

The Harvest Golf Club’s Justin Towill, Charlie Grant, Bennett Lisk and Braydon McKechnie earned third place at 14-under.

The Series then travelled to Fort Langley Golf Course for its Lower Mainland stop on July 17, with sixteen teams taking on the course.

Richmond Country Club's Sebastien Turgeon, Ethan You, Tristan Cui and Carson Chow secured the victory in the tournament, shooting 22-under par to win by three strokes.

The Vancouver Golf Club finished as runners-up at 19-under par, represented by Will Barnett, Jacoby Frizzell, Torrell Zhang and Brody Marasa.

Four teams tied for third place at 16-under: Squamish Valley Golf Club (Cory Wilson, Riley Taylor, Tristan Laurie and Nolan Campbell); Bowen Island Golf Club (Colin Lavers, Ryland Bentall, Charlie Bradley and Carter Lavers); Morgan Creek Golf Course (Chris Martens, Sarah Kim, Nicole Zhai and Aaron Zhao), and Seymour Golf & Country Club (Trevor McLean, Griffen Iwasaki, Landyn Morissette and Justin Lu).

The next edition of the Series took place at Cedar Hill Golf Course in Victoria on July 21 where eleven teams from the Vancouver Island region competed.

Congratulations to Myrtle Point Golf Club's Ryan Brown, Lucas Vizzutti, Jeremy Pukesh and Jacob Babcock on their victory, which they achieved by shooting a phenomenal Net score of 15-under par.

Uplands Golf Club's Benjamin Griffin, Saul Lines, Charlie DeBeck and Ryan Oliver earned second place at 12-under par, while two more teams from Uplands Golf Club tied for third place, shooting 9-under par: Justin Clews, Adam Craig, Aaron Maycock and Anthony Temple; and Sean Hay, Charlie Swan, Ethan Wang and Jaden Lau.

The final event of the Series saw six teams from the Kootenays region compete at Windermere Valley Golf Course in Windermere on July 22.

Cranbrook Golf Club’s Jake Lloy, Ethan Pinch, Collin Kakuno and Kaden Hatala won the event, earning the Kootenays title after shooting 11-under par for a one-shot victory.

In second place, Spur Valley Golf Resort’s Ryan Fisher, Jake Cable, Jayden Jerke and Brooklyn Haley took runner-up honours after firing a Net score of 10-under.

Windermere Valley Golf Course’s Bryan Armstrong, Sawyer Wright, Crosby Vernon and Liam Galloway rounded out the podium in third place.
