Steven Lecuyer wins the 2025 PGA of BC Tagmarshal Order of Merit

February 23, 2026

Richmond, BC (PGA of BC) - The PGA of BC is thrilled to announce Steven Lecuyer as the winner of the 2025 Tagmarshal Order of Merit. Lecuyer earned this distinction through his exceptional performances at PGA of BC tournaments and on the Lower Mainland's G&G Tour.

Lecuyer's season was highlighted by his three-stroke victory at the PGA of BC Assistants' Championship at Meadow Gardens Golf Club, joining Gerry Chatelain as the only competitors to win the event three years in a row.

Alongside Seymour Creek Golf Centre Head Teaching Professional James Legault, Lecuyer won the PGA of BC Pro-Assistant Championship at The Rise Resort with an incredible display of precision and poise. Competing in the first round's best-ball competition, Lecuyer made ten birdies and two eagles to shoot 59 on his own ball. He added a third-place finish at the PGA of BC Championship at Gorge Vale Golf Club.

On the Lower Mainland's G&G Tour, Lecuyer compiled three victories in 2025 to top their Order of Merit standings.

He was awarded the PGA of BC Stan Leonard Male Player of the Year at the Association's 2025 Awards Celebration.

"I don’t put much pressure on myself anymore. It’s taken me many years to figure that out unfortunately, but the last few summers it seems to be the one consistent thing that I’m always aware of and working on," said Lecuyer.

"I would say over the years of competing, my game hasn’t gotten better skill wise, but I’ve polished up the intangibles like mindset, knowledge of my game and the best way I can apply my skills to each and every round I play."

Dave Zibrik (Point Grey Golf & Country Club) earned second place in the Order of Merit standings. Zibrik was runner-up at the PGA of BC Championship and the Club Professional Championship. Brycen Ko (Musqueam Golf & Learning Academy) took third place on the Order of Merit following his victory at the PGA of BC Championship and seventh-place finish at the Assistants' Championship. Zac Carson (Nicklaus North Golf Course) and Robin Conlan (Cordova Bay Golf Course) rounded out the Order of Merit top-five.

As Order of Merit champion, Lecuyer takes home $1,000. The top-ten competitors will be awarded from a purse of $5,000. The Association extends our gratitude and appreciation to Tagmarshal for their generous support of the Order of Merit program and its competitors.

Please note that the 2026 PGA of BC Zone Teams, representing our province at the PGA Assistants' Championship of Canada and PGA Head Professional Championship of Canada, will be determined through competitors' placements in the 2025 Tagmarshal Order of Merit standings.
