Women's Golf Celebration presented by adidas Golf Canada
May 22, 2025
Richmond, BC (PGA of BC) - The PGA of BC’s Women’s Golf Celebration is back for 2025, and the Association is thrilled to again partner with adidas Golf Canada on this initiative. Running the first two weeks of June, Women’s Golf Celebration presented by adidas Golf Canada serves to highlight the incredible women in the Association and to promote the visibility and empowerment of women and girls in golf.
New for 2025, the Women’s Golf Celebration will run concurrently with Golf Canada's She Plays Golf Festival in British Columbia, running June 3-7. This weeklong festival offers a dynamic lineup of events designed to engage and inspire women and girls who are new to the game. Highlights include Golf 101 and Learn to Scramble on-course experiences, a Try Golf clinic, and Women in Leadership networking opportunities – all in a fun, inclusive, and judgment-free environment.
Furthermore, the GolfBC Group BC Women’s Open, part of the She Plays Golf Championship Series, will take place June 5 - 7 at Nicklaus North Golf Course in Whistler. The GolfBC Group BC Women’s Open offers competitors a $60,000 purse and a winner’s exemption into the 2025 CPKC Women’s Open.
Jeffrey Feltrin, General Manager of adidas Golf Canada, sees Women’s Golf Celebration as a springboard to highlight the two organizations’ common principles and equip professionals to broaden the sport, especially by opening new pathways for women and girls.
"adidas Golf Canada and the PGA of BC share a commitment to excellence, integrity, and growing the game in meaningful ways. We both believe in building a golf community that is inclusive, forward-thinking, and grounded in respect. Through this initiative, we want to celebrate those shared values and empower PGA of BC members to lead with purpose and confidence both on and off the course,” said Feltrin.
“Promoting the participation, inclusion, and visibility of women and girls in golf isn't just the right thing to do—it's essential to growing a game that’s more vibrant, innovative, and equitable for the next generation.”
Members and facilities that host a Women’s Golf Celebration event, whether through the BC She Plays Golf Festival or on their own initiative, will be entered into a bursary draw to support the event. Thanks to the outstanding support of adidas Golf Canada, the Association will be awarding four bursaries in the amount of $750 each to participating facilities in the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, Interior, and Kootenays & North regions. If your club is hosting an event that promotes women’s participation and inclusion, we encourage you to reach out to Communications & Marketing Manager Graham Abraham at graham@pgabc.org with a description of the event and how the bursary would be used to support the event.
In addition to the various happenings taking place throughout the Celebration, the PGA of BC will share feature interview articles that highlight various women in the Association and the experiences and philosophies that have helped them flourish in the industry.
