The professional must be a Head, Executive, or Head Teaching Professional; the amateur must be a member of the same facility at the time the Tournament of Champions is conducted. Facilities employing only Apprentice Professionals may enter a team consisting of an amateur and an Apprentice Professional.

New as of 2024: An Assistant Professional may step in for a Head or Executive Professional; however, their team's registration will be accepted only after May 1st, provided a satisfactory rationale for the Head/Executive Professional's absence is given.
