PGA of BC announces COBRA PUMA Golf as Community Engagement Program sponsor
August 12, 2026
Richmond, BC (PGA of British Columbia) - The PGA of British Columbia is pleased to announce COBRA PUMA Golf as the presenting sponsor of the Association’s Community Engagement Program, supporting an initiative that recognizes PGA of BC professionals for their contributions to communities across the province.
Launched in 2024, the Community Engagement Program (CEP) is an annual points race that recognizes PGA of BC golf professionals for going beyond the course through volunteering, fundraising, charitable work, and promoting the game across British Columbia. Top 10 finishers share a $5,000 season purse, with $1,000 awarded to the champion.
Points are earned through participation in, promotion of, and fundraising for key community events such as the Golfathon for ALS, Teach-a-thon for Mental Health, Canucks Junior Golf Month, and Women's Golf Celebration. The program also recognizes broader contributions, including volunteer work, social media promotion, involvement in other sports, and additional fundraising activities.
Ryan Tofani, General Manager at Ledgeview Golf Club, has won each of the first two Community Engagement Program races, finishing atop the standings in both 2024 and 2025.
PGA of BC Executive Director Mark Strong said the new partnership will help build on the program's growth since its launch.
"The PGA of BC is very appreciative of COBRA PUMA Golf's partnership, and are excited to see the continued evolution of the association's Community Engagement Program. We have so many members that are constantly giving back to their communities that we want to ensure they are recognized and appreciated, and this program achieves exactly that. Thank you very much to COBRA PUMA and Director of Sales Jason Rose for their support!" said Strong
COBRA PUMA Golf offers a full range of COBRA golf equipment alongside PUMA Golf footwear, apparel and accessories, with a focus on innovation, performance and style. The company has been a longtime supporter of the PGA of BC and its professionals, and was recognized with the Association’s 2025 Jim Gibson Patron of the Year Award for its dedication to the membership.
"We are thrilled to partner with the PGA of British Columbia on the Community Engagement Program to recognize the leadership, generosity, and community spirit shown by golf professionals across the province,” said Jason Rose. “Their commitment to giving back, supporting causes important to them, and inspiring the next generation of golfers helps strengthen communities across BC. We are honoured to be able to support this important initiative and celebrate these efforts that go beyond the golf course."
The addition of COBRA PUMA Golf marks another step forward for a program that has quickly become an important part of the PGA of BC calendar.

While we still encourage the use of hashtags like #PGABCplays, Meta Inc. removed users' ability to reliably and accurately find all posts containing a specific hashtag. Instead, we are reliant on your self-submissions at the points requisition form.
