The PGA of BC looks forward to welcoming Class "A" Professional and social media expert Michael Caan as a speaker at our Virtual Education Series presented by Foresight Sports Canada. This event takes place next Tuesday, March 12 at 10:00am, with registration closing Monday, March 11 at 4:00pm. New this year, the Association is excited to invite all PGA of Canada members to register for the Virtual Education Series.
Caan is a PGA of BC Professional at Riverway Golf Course in Burnaby, and is known for his viral social media following. With over 60 thousand followers on Instagram, Michael shows how PGA professionals can wield the power of social media to advance their careers and showcase themselves and the Association. One of Michael’s most viral moments came when he shot an incredible 59 at Meadow Gardens Golf Club. Following his 40-foot eagle bomb to seal the deal, Michael jumped into the neighbouring pond, with the video shared across some of the world’s largest golf platforms.
We are thrilled to be hosting several other impressive speakers throughout the 2024 Virtual Education Series slate. The Association will be joined by Mike Martysiewicz, Director of Club Building & Fitting, Club Champion; Raymond Chang, TPI Certified Personal Trainer, Ace Performance Center; Par Six Golf Media; and Lesley Hawkins, Vice President of Retail, adidas Canada.
Several more speakers will be added to the 2024 Virtual lineup in the coming months. We are excited to provide PGA members with insights across a wide range of topics and perspectives.
The Virtual Education Series gives Members the opportunity to pursue professional development from the comfort of their home or office through an accessible virtual platform. We extend our gratitude to Foresight Sports Canada for their generous support of the PGA of BC's Education initiatives.
