Topic: "The Upside of Down!"

There are times when it is hard to forget what we have been through in the past two years and there are times when it is hard to remember how limited and restricted we were not that long ago. Everybody has been through it and everyone has been impacted. Now it is time to check in with ourselves to make sure we are ready for what is next. If you, your team, your family and the people you serve need the best of you, it may be time to decide. This session will cover:

  • Seeing obstacles differently
  • Making the obstacle your advantage
  • Seeing yourself
  • Seeing yourself differently
  • Deciding “who” and “how” you are going to be in a new season.
  • Turning Pro in “Seeing the Upside of Down!’

About Kevin MacDonald:

Kevin MacDonald is founder of the Club Management Association of America’s Coaching Program. His job is to bring the best out in the people he works with and to support them as leaders to bring the best out in their people.

CONNER KOZAK; Apprentice Professional, The Okanagan Golf Club

Topic: "Coaching & Developing Today's Junior Golfers"

Coaching and developing today’s junior golfers can present several challenges along with common misconceptions. How can we effectively learn to nurture and encourage junior golfers to take the next step with their game?

About Conner Kozak

Following a junior golf career highlighted by several championships and top finishes in high-level competition, Conner had the privilege of being recruited to play varsity golf at the University of British Columbia. While pursuing a degree in Kinesiology, he was named team captain for three out of his four years on the team. During his time on the team, Conner was able to help lead the T-Birds to numerous tournament wins and national championships. Now as a professional at The Okanagan Golf Club, he believes in growing the game at all levels of play and is driven by providing the opportunity for others to love the game, just as it was once given to him. While coaching has become his main focus, his passion for tournament golf remains strong as this summer he managed to win the PGA of BC’s Assistants' Championship. In recent years he has been awarded with the PGA of BC’s Jack McLaughlin Junior Golf Leader of the Year, and this past season he added the Jack Westover Coach of the Year Award to his resume.
